The beginning of the month is a great time for gamers, because that’s when you get new freebies for your Xbox and Playstation. Yes, you have to pay for a subscription to get them, and you also get free games mid-month for Xbox, but hey, free’s free, even if you’re paying a subscription. Today’s haul on Playstation would have cost £76 any other month, and I only pay about £6 for my PS Plus subscription (I pay monthly because their quarterly subscription never seems to renew on my account). £6-ish for six games is close enough to free for me. In the interests of trying to keep this blog more up to date, I’m going to have a Tuesday Time-waster each week. Writers always need some way to unwind, and my way of unwinding is with some video games. Don’t worry, it won’t be all Minecraft and Pokemon GO! First up is Slime Rancher. They shouldn’t have tried to scare us. It is a sign of how little the Remainers understand or know about Britain, and above all about England, that they thought that would work.
I do sometimes wonder if these odd denatured shiny types, who actively prefer foreign rule to their own, ever visit their own country. Confined to glossy multicultural London neighbourhoods for most of the year, they then hurry abroad.
Most of them are more familiar with Florence or Barcelona than they are with the equal glory of Lincoln Cathedral, whose history, beauties and significance are alike unknown to them.
