I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. I suck at blogging.
That said, it’s not because I’m just crap at updating. I have a lot on at the moment. I’m on my second year at uni, and that’s more involved this year than it was last year. And then there’s work, and the kids. You’d think that having all of my kids in school all day would make things easier, but no. My youngest is a pain in the butt and thinks it’s ok not to go to school. Technically he doesn’t have to go yet, but it’d be nice if he did.
NaNoWriMo was a success this year. 85k by halfway through the month. God only knows how I managed it, but I did. Yay!
I’ll update again soon, I promise.
PS: Soon may be some time in the distant future. I’m unreliable.
It’s almost time for NaNoWriMo again; about 19 days by my calculation. And this year, in addition to working, I’ve also got University to fit NaNoWriMo around! Glutton for punishment? Maybe. Back in October when I decided to plan out my novel for NaNoWriMo, I was partly doing it because of having a story I wanted to do justice, and partly as an experiment in plotting versus pantsing.
I was interested to see if having a plan actually had a positive effect on my word count. Bizarrely (at least it’s bizarre to my mind) it does seem to have helped somewhat.
